Virtual U3A

 

The Virtual U3A (vU3A), which went live in January 2009, it is an online-only U3A, affiliated to the Third Age Trust. One of its principle aims is to provide the U3A experience for those who are rendered isolated in some way by circumstances or geography and unable to play a full part in a terrestrial U3A.

 

More information is available on the public web site     www.vu3a.org  Where you can also apply for membership. Why not pay it a visit? And if you know of anyone who might benefit, please pass the information on.

 

Membership of this group is not covered by your Verwood U3A membership.

Monthly Meeting

 

Members monthly meetings will be held on the second Tuesday

of each month at a local venue.

Bridge Class

 

There is a little confusion over the Bridge series that I am planning to run from  Thursday 19th January at 2.15- 4.00pm at the Parish Rooms.   

 

This is meant to be for absolute beginners, for people who may never even held a pack of cards in their hands before !!!   I aim to start right at the beginning, assuming no prior knowledge at all, and gently bring everyone up to a level where they can confidently sit down with complete strangers and enjoy a game of sociable, friendly Bridge.    I shall be doing it initially as a series of talks with illustrations on a screen, so that I can ensure that nobody gets left behind.    Once again - as this is going out by e-mail - please tell any friends  who do not have e-mail
